Fishing Report April 29, 2013
After a cooler than average spring, the crappie are just now moving into shallower water and spawning. It looks like the next few weeks should be great crappie fishing. The bluegill have also started biting around the shoreline the last few days, so things are really heating up here at the lake. We still have availability during late April and May, so if you are looking for a great time to come to Reelfoot, look no further.

After a chilly week the temperatures are getting back to normal with highs in the 70's all week. The crappie have started moving into the shallower water around 7 to 8 feet, and are biting on minnows and pink headed chartreuse jigs tipped with minnows.

Other than a couple of windy days the crappie fishing on Reelfoot Lake has been great. We are still fishing in deeper water, about a foot off of the bottom. Temperatures are already in the mid 60's and yesterday it was 73, so it is a great time to be out fishing.
